​Novelist and playwright Dame Agatha​ Mary Clarissa Christie was born in 1890.  She made a hit in 1920 with The Mysterious Affair at Styles,​ which introduced M. Hercule Poirot, one of the most famous and beloved detectives in modern fiction, to the world.  And later, after vanishing for almost two weeks, ​she herself became ​one of the most famous women and writers in the world​.  At the time of her death​ in 1976, she'd sold about two billion copies of her books.
